i did quite a few things today

1. went to j&j's bible study. (j&j=jacky and john's) haha.

2. after that, i finally decided i probably should go to the doctor. i think because i'm pretty certain i need antibiotics, i finally went. also, i don't know if it was intentional, because if it was that's so dodgy. the pharmacy i went to didn't give me my repeats. i don't know if that was accidental, because if it wasn't that means i have to go back to that particular pharmacy to get my repeat if i need it. that's so dodgy.

3. ice cream. so whilst me and jacky were wandering the city, we decided we wanted icecream. & jacky had these vouchers for this new place on bourke st, passionflower. and so we were being naughty and decided to use the 2 for 1 voucher instead of the 50% off voucher. and got like a plate of strawberry chocolate pancakes and one of waffles with chocolate icecream. and the servings were HUGE. i felt like a pig. haha.

4. cd sale. so borders i think were trying to clear all their cds for some reason. it was all cds for $10 or 4 for $30. i was a bit annoyed i didn't have more money, because it meant i had to carefully select 4 only, because i could pretty much only use $30. sigh. i so could have spent more than that if i had more money. i bought mostly cds that i should already have and are completely my collection.

i bought:

- jack johnson - sleep through static

5. after that. at night i had leaders meeting for church and we spent quite a long time to figure out new names for the new service/group. ideas?

i had cheese fondue again for the second time in three days

the first time was on friday for girls night

there was also chocolate fondue and apricot as well

today was for girls book club at tash's place

it was just cheese fondue

but we had cheesecake for dessert.

yum.

and for the record.

yes, i'm getting fat.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

i baked my mum a cake.

it's a strawberry baked cheesecake, but the base is actually sponge.

but since its under a layer of cheese, the sponge is a little condensed.

it doesn't look that good in the photo.

but i definitely tastes better than it looks.

we ate it just before and she loved it.

she said if i don't take any of it to work tmr

by the time i get home it would be all gone.

i also took her out to dinner in footscray

my mum wanted to go to lentil as anything

but jacky was calling me cheap

because technically you don't have to pay anything there

but it wasn't my fault, she said she wanted to go

though, i ended up taking her out for chinese

roast duck rice and crispy fried noodle

yum!

also, a funny thing that we always do

cos we're an asian family

and we always eat at that same place

we always never finish it and end up doggy bagging

and it'd be dinner for the next day.

always.

but we've been going to that same restaurant for YEARS.

i would say over a course of 10 years

when it was in a different location.

though i know that say sonja's restaurant would hate doggy bagging

but since its a restaurant in footscray

(food is cheap, and the people who eat their are mostly cheap)

you kind of have to offer that service because heaps of asians go there

and if you don't, they go elsewhere.

anyhow, i also gave my mum a present

its a bath robe, but its really soft

and for some reason it took us ages to find one.

side note: why does myer not have soft bath robes? they were quite rough. not a single one. and david jones wasn't much better either. and they are the expensive stores. i ended up getting it from cotton on & it was super soft :)

i rate myself highly as a daughter.

i baked a cake, took her out to dinner and bought a present.

& i think that if i were a boy, i'd make a really good boyfriend.

today, we went out for clara's birthday

we ate at this indian place in docklands

it was pretty good.

but the serving sizes for the mains were really small.

& a lot of the time i didn't know what i was eating.

though i must admit, its quite fun trying new things.

also, funny story.

so we were checking if any of the stuff had peanuts

since rowie is allergic

but none of them did

though they had nuts

but the boss was pretty anxious about it

because they had an incident with allergies recently.

and was telling her not to eat some of the dishes.

he also made the kitchen make a special chicken dish for her

even though she's only allergic to peanuts

& she was already eating everything else.

and plus its just a mild allergy.

also, we had cake :)

(i baked it)

didn't really take a picture of it

(so i cropped one)

but me, sonja and susan decorated the top with mini m&ms

we wrote

if you can sort of see it.

twas quite fun.

i love catching up :)

& i ♥ these girls to bits.

funny thing happened today

so today me and jacky were pretty broke

cos he didn't get paid

and i haven't got paid yet either

and all we had was $4 in my eftpos

so we were just going to get two bacon cheeseburgers from maccas

but the whilst looking through my wallet

he found slash remembered that we had free mini chip vouchers from grill'd

and they expired today

so luckily he found them

so yes,

we got two mini chips to go with our cheeseburgers

we also almost got three of the chips

because i think the guy accidentally doubled ordered

but we were nice and told them

besides we probably wouldn't have finished all the chips anyway

so it would've been a waste.

i love it when things turn out so perfectly.

#136 DOMINOES

i haven't posted in so long.

just been so busy and everything.

i will finish catching up on all the days

by tonight.

so tonight, i had to go to my uncles house

for his birthday

and i taught my cousin how to cheat.

haha.

no,

i mean i taught her how to play the card game cheat.

and emma was there.

even though it was a family thing.

gatecrasher.

haha, i kid.

it was so cute that vincent (my cousin, 7yo)

seemed so happy cos titus (emma's bro, 12yo)

was there

and they were running around playing all boy things

and shooting foam darts and stuff

whenever i come over these days vincent and sarah

just play their ds

haha

i'm not exciting to them anymore.

though i used to be.

sigh.

also, played dominoes with the adults

and emma's mum kept winning

like 90% of the time

lol.

but at least i did win once.

also,

mum kept going about how

making the masterchef cake wasn't worth it

and it cost almost as much as buying a cake

but i beg to differ

since i only used like a bit of everything

and didnt spend that much

but i guess she meant cost

as in effort as well

but there's lots of ingredients left

and i found it fun.

and i was my first time baking a cake

so i was pretty successful for my first attempt.

SURPRISE! #129

after a week of organising

and stressing

making sure he had no way of finding out

and preping food

for jacky's surprise party

i would consider today to be a success

besides the fact that

when jacky was just coming

everyone was in panic mode and didn't know what to do

but that was pretty funny as well

:)

and there's just SOOO much food left over

like an insane amount

lol,

funny cos my mum kept telling me i might not have enough food and stuff

but i think thats an asian parent thing

and also,

there was A LOT of salad left over

i think about a fifth of it was actually eaten.

and NONE of the salad dressing bottles was used.

haha.

sigh.

i guess i'll be eating a lot of salad in the coming week.

so yesterday me and jacky went out for lunch

in footscray

and he had bun bo hue

and obviously with that came the vegetables

and there was these vegetables that looked like

alfalfa

now you knwo when you know what it is in your head

but can't quite put your name on it

well that happened

and i ended up saying

"that looks like falafel."

surprisingly, i have not seen any masterchef yet
i mean i love the show
and knowing me
and how much reality tv i watch
its surprising.
but i guess its only been two eps so far
but you know i have tests and things
still another to study for
sigh
i have to listen to another 8 lectures
for my test on thursday

on another note
i really like packet soups
like i used to have them a lot
but i knew they are bad for me
cos of the insane amount of salt in them
but in times of stress/way-too-much-studying
they're the best

went to see his show 'surprise' tonight
he's so freaking adorable
and funny
the show was about him coming out
and about his relationship with his boyfriend tom ballard
i really enjoyed it
& laughed most of the show
naw
i kinda want to see it again
cos i really loved it

went on a bakery tour today
with rowie, clara & jiali
i quite enjoyed it
except for the fact that well
we seemed to get really full really quickly
and in retrospect
it didn't look like we ate that much
but we were absolutely stuffed
my favs were probably the french toast and the vanilla slice

almost skipped a day

made a tiramisu today
turned out to be the most successful one yet

i used dessert cream, and it was brandy flavoured
tastes good
but i'm going to get so fat from it

also watched Love Actually
(you see i'm going through a phase
of watching a lot of dvds
that i borrowed from the library)
anyways, i liked it
i lso watched the deleted scenes
and theres thisone i kinda find quite random and funny
you know that little boy, who's in love with that little girl, joanna
well they were going to make him a gymnast
and he shows off his abilites
when he's running through the airport to find joanna
like he somersaults over the employees
cartwheels between chairs
and does like high bars to run away from the security guards
i found it so random
but funny
but they didn't have that in the final cut of the movie though
lol

and just so you know
tmr, i'm going to watch a movie called Bobby
so be warned if i do another movie post

bolt babe?

so yesterday i saw some guy with a bag on the train
and well i though the bag was interesting
but no one else on my carriage seemed to notice it
its was a 'bolt babe' bag
so the bag was black with pink rimming
and a huge 'bolt babe' in pink on the front
and many many hearts (which have been broken, lol) in pink
the guy must have not known though
he looked about 30-ish and was east asian (that's the proper term for it, indian i mean)

i've been feeling really sick lately
i don't know
it's not normal sick though
for the past two days
whenever i eat something
i feel nauseous afterwards
and the smell of really oily foods really gross me out
and the only things i've been feeling like eating are cold
(though i still eat hot stuff)

i shall go now.
really need to study,
second week and i feel like i'm uber behind

i hate exam times
i always eat random crap in the middle of the night
just because i want to
its not even just snacks
last night i ate a whole huge bowl of pasta
cos i accidentally cooked too much
convincing myself that i'll study better
and thats how i always gain weight during exams

i also hate that is winter
technically its not, but it basically is
yes, i do hate winter
its so cold, and gloomy
and you get sick
and i always get really pale
which emphasises the bags under my eyes
its horrible

i love looking at asian packaging

there's almost always something wrong with it

and its made in malaysia

i've been using a brown shampoo&conditioner
and my hair is so shiny and soft now

it really is
maybe though, its cos its only my 2nd wash
i hope it doesn't wear off
its one of those expensive salon ones that i bought from priceline.
(but this one was on special, so it was cheaper, unlike the john freida ones which are $16 EACH)

and my hair is browner
it really is.

i bought a new dress today
sort of an impulse buy
i saw it last week but didn have time to try it on
but i tried it on today
and bought it
even though i don't really need it
oh well
at least, i still really like it

i know this might sound really lame
bu i do get excited about stupid things
(it's true, just ask jacky)
i can swallow humungous sized tablets now
& i don't even need a full glass of water.
and by big i mean
its like 2.5 cm long and super fat
i used to not be able to do it
(i couldnt even swallow panadol sometimes and they are quite small)
it would get stuck in my throat and i would get scared and gag it out.
but yay
i can do it now.

i must go study now.
i have a test tmr & i really know nothing.

been eating a lot lately
i mean i love eating food
but i dont like putting on weight
cos it gives me fat cheeks
if only the food only went to my thighs
then i would be totally fine with it

which is run by old ladies
so they dont really know the cost of things these days
yeah, i bought it for $1
