#234
none of the violinists played their violin today
the position was occupied by michelle instead
whilst i was singing
steph on cello
& emma on the drums.
:)
i really need to get back to playing my guitar though
and its funny
because emma's dad has been asking whether i've been doing my guitar homework
and my homework being
to, well, practise.
so, no i haven't really been doing my homework.
oops.
haha.

i had to blog via flickr today
cos i can't blog properly on blogger for some reason.
sorry i haven't been posting lately
i've been so busy since exams have finished.
seriously, i have not had a full day to myself.
and even if i do have some time to myself.
i play my guitar.
:)
i really do like it.
like i'd be like
"after dinner i'll play my guitar"
i know quite a few songs already.
learning very quickly,
but my theory is that i'm learning very fast
cos i already play violin so i'm used to the strings, fingering and shifting, etc.
though i'm still trying to get used to the fact that it has 6 strings when im tabbing.
:)
i'll be off.
i promise i'll write something more interesting soon.
way too knackered right now.
love.

trend setter.
i bought my guitar yesterday.
is burgundy
:)
the guy who sold me it was really really nice
there was like a slight, hardly noticeable scratch on it
so he gave me all these free stuff in return
like you can't really see it
i have like a very very visible scratch on my violin
from dropping it about 6 years ago
but i don't mind
this scratch was nothing compared to that
:)
can go learn it now
yay.
you know something that sort of annoys me
wou know in fashion mag where the have the "trends" section
i hate it when they are like "new trend (or this season's tends): shorts"
or something that really really isn't a trend
like its summer of course people where shorts
a trend would be a theme like bohemian
or something that is not a staple clothing
say: ankle boots or vest or something
or a special colour like aqua blue
i don't consider black a trend
like everyone wears black
its not a trend anymore
its a staple.
anyhow
be off now
ciao!

bitte?
so here's my review/recommendation for his week
The Dirty Projectors new album, Bitte Orca
i'm quite liking it.
though it did take a few listens to get use to
they're a six person band
the songs are sung by both male and female vocalists
what i like about them is their
is the interweaving of the music with the vocals
what i mean is they make the vocals work through the music.
(did that make sense? or did that just sound like i was tryng to make myself sound like i know what i'm talking about?)
myspace: here
& for more on what i listen to
go to my last.fm
just click the music tab at the top
:)
in other news,
i really really can't wait til i get my guitar
i'm ebaying off guitar music
:)
the ones i really want though (strokes, death cab, yyy)
are really expensive
there's also one that you buy the pdf of beatles songs
its like 200 songs
but
i'm not sure if its dodgy or not
like whether thats legal.
but yes, i do really want the beatles musc, too!
i'm also plannng to learn the cello
but not this holiday
the 3 month break at the end of the year.
go me :)
will write a more interesting blog soon
i'm out today.
(STILL have to study.)
oh, and if you didn't know bitte means sorry or please in german.
(but it has no relevance to this blog, just that the albumis called Bitte Orca)
i miss german :(
i miss german :(

junkie
another thing that i do not like about the exam period
i dress like a slob
and then feel very self concious if i bump into someone i know.
i probably won't blog as much due to the same reason
really need to study
but i think, that i am in a better position this point in time
than i was this tme last year.
a song that i really really like right now is
The Jane Doe's - Junkie
:)
listen to them on their myspace here
do it !!
now, i really really really want a guitar
i always wanted one
but now i really really really do
and i can't be bothered waiting for jacky to buy me one
and will buy it myself
soon.
not til after exams though,
cos i'll be distracted.
back to study now.
& being a good girl.
lotsoflove
