hi! i'm als & this is my blog.

i write about random things.
these days i write pretty sporatically.
sometimes i completely rave about something, like a tv show but sometimes i write pretty serious things.
i write in short phrases, i like the freedom of not having to write in proper punctuation and grammar.
i'm a christian. i also ♥ music, art, photography, movies, tv & books.

hope you enjoy ♥

#187 WORLD CUP FINAL

watched it at luke & katherine's house
with a few CU friends

though before watching the final match
we watched the British Grand Prix
followed by le Tour de France
:)

then the final at 4.30
twas ok slash kinda boring for most of it.
i wanted spain to win, just that little bit more.
though i didn't really care too much
and the ref was really annoying though
with all his yellow cards
but my favourite yellow card of the night came from this guy

de Jong's 'Jackie Chan-like' kick into the chest of Alonso
it was really funny to watch though.
haha.
i'm surprised i haven't found a clip of that
playing along to the tune of 'kung fu fighting' though.
i thought that would be a given.

but yes,
so whilst watching the match
i seriously though it was going to go to shoot outs
which i was kind of looking forward to
because they're more suspenseful
but the goal with only 5 mins of extra time left
was pretty sweet.

and yes.

well at least, we all survived the vuvuzelas (hopefully).
though, jacky installed the app on his ipod.
but i will insist on him uninstalling it real soon.

owned!

argentina lost to germany
nil to 4 goals
OUCH!
suddenly i don't feel so bad about australia losing to germany with the same score
especially because during the end
we only had 10 men.

GO DEUTSCHLAND!

they're who i'm going for
from now on
:D

#169 ranga pm

so we officially have a new pm today
the first australian female pm
but i also wonder how many redheads have become leaders of their country
i wonder
i think she may be one of the first few.

watching NZ vs Paraguay now
hope NZ win and get through.
they probably won't though.

#165 damn ref !

gah, damnit.
a DRAW.
and
a harry kewell red card in the first half.
and
ghana had a red card-able offence and only got a yellow
and
wilkshire just had to beat the keeper and misses
and that was our best opportunity.
damnit.

sigh,
so NOW
in order for australia to go through
we have to beat serbia (obviously)
and then
ghana has to beat germany
which is HIGHLY unlikely.
especially because the two goals that ghana has scored in the to games
both came from penalties.
and the prospect of germany not going into the finals
is SUPER unlikely.

though i'm loving all those facebook groups made in response:

but on the bright side
at least we got that point
instead of zero points,
right? right? right?

no?

ok, then.

#164 croc alert!

so i was browsing through smosh.com today
(ie. massively procrastinating instead of studying for my last exam)
and i was reading the smosh pit posts
and i LOL'd at this one

here are my favs:

and i laughed so much at this one
not only is it a person in a wheelchair rolling down hill
but its a person in a wheelchair rolling down a hill INTO A CROCODILE!

(disclaimer: i'm not making fun of people in wheechairs, i'm making fun of the absurdity of this sign)

waiting to watch the soccer
hopefully, australia can play better today
or even just score a goal or draw
so at least we get one point.
instead of zero
is that too much to ask?
the answer beckons.
