hi! i'm als & this is my blog.

i write about random things.
these days i write pretty sporatically.
sometimes i completely rave about something, like a tv show but sometimes i write pretty serious things.
i write in short phrases, i like the freedom of not having to write in proper punctuation and grammar.
i'm a christian. i also ♥ music, art, photography, movies, tv & books.

hope you enjoy ♥

#241 shady ladies

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

so today in the morning church service the sunday school kids sang for father's day
they were cute
except the older boys were a bit annoyed we made them wear streamers on their wrists
haha.
also, grace managed to make a clubbing/r&b song reference while we were practising
was pretty funny because no one else understood it
though we were in a fit of laughter.

afterwards, there was food
because its father's day.
its always the best food because all the adults bring a dish.
love it ♥

after that still, bri decided he wanted to go to essendon dfo
so me, emma & grace came along for the ride
haha, no.
we came along to shop.
so, i bought two pairs of boots
(which my mum will be funding for because she really wants me
to throw out my old ones)
as well as trying on many different sunnies/glasses with emma.
lol at the one with me in the red sunnies and theres the guy in the back :)
also the last one, i think i look like nelly yuki from gossip girl
what do you think?

#136 DOMINOES

sorrryyyyyyyyyyyyy
i haven't posted in so long.
just been so busy and everything.
i will finish catching up on all the days
by tonight.
promise.

so tonight, i had to go to my uncles house
for his birthday
and i taught my cousin how to cheat.
haha.
no,
i mean i taught her how to play the card game cheat.
and emma was there.
even though it was a family thing.
gatecrasher.
haha, i kid.
it was so cute that vincent (my cousin, 7yo)
seemed so happy cos titus (emma's bro, 12yo)
was there
and they were running around playing all boy things
and shooting foam darts and stuff
whenever i come over these days vincent and sarah
just play their ds
haha
i'm not exciting to them anymore.
though i used to be.
sigh.

also, played dominoes with the adults
and emma's mum kept winning
like 90% of the time
lol.
but at least i did win once.
:)

also,
mum kept going about how
making the masterchef cake wasn't worth it
and it cost almost as much as buying a cake
but i beg to differ
since i only used like a bit of everything
and didnt spend that much
but i guess she meant cost
as in effort as well
but there's lots of ingredients left
and i found it fun.
and i was my first time baking a cake
so i was pretty successful for my first attempt.

age #124

i love this
its so adorable
(i got it off cindy's fb)
but the little girl is so feisty
and a little bit mean
but its still cute nonetheless
but it got me thinking
how much age mattered when you were little
because i remember it mattered a whole lot to me

once i remember, when i was 6
someone's mum said i was 5
and i was like "No! I'm 6!"
as if it really made a difference

but i guess, there is a huge difference between when you're 4 or when you're 6
even though its only two years
even between a 6 year old and an 8 year old
but now there's not a lot of difference really
for say a 20 year old and a 22 year old

also, like when i was young
i went to sunday school
and i remember there were these big kids
and i never used to play with them
because i was scared of them
because 1. they were all boys
2. they were old and big (compared to me anyway)
but the funny thing is that
well, i am friends with them now
and the age/size thing doesn't matter anymore
its a funny thing
about life really.

though
when i was in school
i enjoyed being one of the younger ones of the class
because of the month i was born in
i still enjoy being the 'young' one
even though i'm not really
:)

kiddiessss #39

yes. sorry.
i majorly screwed up the days/posts
making up for them now.

so, well at church i teach sunday school
and the class i teach is class 2,
which is kids from grade 1 to grade 3
and well last year
i had like 4/5 grade 3 kids
and 3 grade 3 kids
and the older kids would just totally dominate answering the questions and things
and show of their reading skills and whatnot
but now this year the older kids have moved up to class 3
which is grade 4 - 6
meaning i have 3 grade 2 kids
and i taught them for the first time this year
and its friggin awesome
:)
like they all talk now and answer the questions
and want to read
like last year, i would have to go up to each of them individually
to check that they know what they are doing
in puzzles and things
but now its great.
i was so happy after i taught them yesterday.
i love my new class.
not that i didn't love my previous class
but you know, i like this better.

though another thing i'd like to mention
after a year of teaching kids
the best way to get kids entertained
give them something to colour in.
seriously, i'd be teachin them
and they'd ask, 'can we colour now?'
haha, its the best and hardly any mess
(as opposed to crafts)
the only thing you need to do is to sharpen pencils for them
:)

though one things i'm sad about
i asked the kids how old they were yesterday
and they're all 6/7
and then i asked how old they thought i was
and jasmine (one of the kids) said i was 27
27!!
:(
lol.

kids who have better things than you.

i swear, kids are so much more high tech now
like the kids i know
ALL have nintendo ds'es
and i don't even have one

but i saw two kids with an i phone
and by kids, i mean kids
one looked he was 5 or 6
and his sister was about 8 or 9
and they had an i phone each
i'm sure it wasn't their parents
cos they were playing with them constantly
and their dad had a blackberry
(i'm sure the mum had something a really good phone too, but i didn't see)

it's kind of annoying though
like, now that we're older (or me anyway)
we have to pay for stuff
whereas kids can just nag and it'll get given to them
(a lot of the time)

i guess i also feels a bit unfair
cos i never got given this stuff when i was little
(i didn't even have a gameboy)
but then maybe cos i was such a good kid when i was little
even though i was an only child,
i was so not spoilt and i was SUCH a good kid
i swear
even parents say i was such a good kid
:)
i never used to ask for anything
but then i was a bit scared of my mum when i was little.
i think though, i started to getting annoying when i got older
but everyone goes through that stage.
toodles!
