Spring shows

I feel like this spring isn't going to be that great for me uni work wise, and I say this because all my shows are coming back, and there's a lot of them. I mean, A LOT.

Survivor and America's Next Top Model came back last night, and I can tell this season of ANTM is going to be great because of the season preview. I mean they will be writing their own songs and singing them, and doing the music video for them. On a modeling show? Really? This is going to be HILARIOUS! And check out the final photo of all the models photoshopped together. I mean, someone was seriously having a crack when they thought it was a good idea to photoshop the girls spilling out of the bubble bath/pool AND Alexandria is no longer on a surf board, she now rides a motorcycle. AHAHAHAHA! Oh, this season is going to be so fun(ny)! I am glad that Allison Harvard (ie. creepy chan) is back, if you've read my older posts you may know I had a slight obsession over her.

I also started watching Up All Night today, pretty funny and light, I'll probably continue to watch it. It kind of reminds me of Raising Hope and Cam & Mitchell on Modern Family, sort of. (simply because they are also shows about raising babies)

And I also started Free Agents as well. I liked that too, but I'm not sure if I like it enough to continue watching. Maybe if I'm bored or something.

Also, the other shows I'm waiting for:

- How I met your mother
- Big Bang Theory
- Modern Family (sort of, I mean I do like the show but I'm more inclined to watch it when I'm bored rather than follow it every week)

New shows I may start:
- New Girl, simply because I love Zooey Deschanel :)

- (and as I said: Up All Night)

I think that's it, I have way too many shows already.

As I said, this is so not looking good for uni work.

SURVIVOR REDEMPTION ISLAND FINALE

SPOILERS.

DO NOT READ ON IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED IT. OR IF YOU CARE.

I WARNED YOU.

Ok, so after watching the Survivor finale, I am quite glad that Rob won out of the three that were left. Because Natalie clearly didn't deserve it since she rode the coattails of Rob and Philip didn't deserve it since he only made it there because he alienated everyone, or alienated himself, and because part of the survivor game is the social game, Philip played a VERY poor social game. And I found it so interesting and so funny that in their opening statements, ALL of them credit Rob to getting to the final three. And interesting and true quote that I read (taken from buddytv here) was this:

"Basically, all three argue that Boston Rob was the mastermind, but Natalie and Phillip think befriending the mastermind is better than actually being the mastermind, which is kind of like saying that Tiger Woods doesn't deserve the Green Jacket for winning the Masters, his caddy does."

Very true, they had no hope of winning since both Natalie and Philip were pretty hopeless in challenges (though Natalie did actually win one of them, she was completely hopeless in the latter challenges). And neither of them made ANY (not any) big strategic moves, and followed faithfully to Rob's orders.

But, I do absolutely admire Rob's game play, it was pretty much a perfect game right to the end. The way he kept tabs on everyone, built trust with everyone to the point his alliance all trusted him that he never really needed to use his immunity idol. I particular admire that 'buddy system' he had, I mean yes, it was pretty much like a cult, but it was SO effective in keeping his soldiers in check. Also, the way he eliminated Matt twice, though completely harsh and heartless, was completely brilliant. Because in that move, he eliminated the one that was in the gray area, that maybe if he stayed Matt could have pulled Andrea along for something big, so he eliminated that possibility all together. And honestly if it were him, Ashley and Natalie in the end, I think he still would have won but it would have been much closer, since Ashley could have argued the fact that she was strong in challenges.

But having said ALL of that, the fact that Rob controlled everything made it a boring season and the producers kept having to rely on the fact that Philip annoyed the crap out of everyone to made episode interesting, which annoyed me after a while.

So in summary, AMAZING game play by Rob but boring season because of its predictability. As in, as soon as Rob won the last immunity challenge I KNEW HE HAD WON, and week by week whoever Rob said was going home was going home. Boring.

Hope next season will be more interesting, also I hope they have a Heroes and Villains season again in the future because I hope Matt and Mike return again as Heroes because I really liked them. In fact, I really wanted Mike to return from Redemption island instead of Andrea, so that was a bit of a bummer that he didn't.

Also, I hope Russell doesn't return though he makes interesting tv, he's a real jerk and I don't like him and he annoys me with his cockiness. Also, he played the EXACT same game that he has played the previous two seasons, it's failed for him twice so how on earth did he think it would work for him this time. And playing the exact same way by AGAIN choosing the two pretty girls to make his alliance with, that was his downfall. So RUSSELL HANZ, if you ever return to Survivor PLEASE change your game tactic because if you keep the same game, don't even bother coming back because its not going to work and its not worth watching you fail over and over again.

survivor nicaragua finale !!

currently watching survivor finale

(so stop reading if you don't want to be spoiled)

but its loading rather slow

so i'm a quarter way through

& i really really really want fabio/judd to win

but i've just finished watching when they commemorate each of the players gone

and they usually say nice things about each one of them

the funniest though was tyrone's

because all holly said was 'tyrone the fireman'

HAHAHA

could they seriously not say

oh yeah, he was a nice guy or something.

also, after i heard naonka's spiel/explanation

i was like 'are you serious?'

she's seriously deluded

like she was saying how she played a smart game and that she was nice.

no. and no.

1. she stole food (stupid move)

2. she's in-your-face and rude, yelling at people for no reason

3. she's a backstabber

4. she's a quitter

5. she knew she was going to quit and that she was going to have food that night, yet she still didn't give up her place for reward so that others can eat.

so no, definitely not a smart game. not even close.

and she's just painted herself as being one of the most rude and selfish people that has ever played survivor.

but slowly we are seeing that he is quite smart

i remember that episode when they were talking about freud

and last episode

when he saw his mum and he was all emotional

that was so cute

survivor rant

(for those who actually care when i rant about survivor, which pretty much all of you don't, but i like ranting to nobody anyway)

YES!

marty from survivor is FINALLY eliminated

took them way too long to eliminate him

honestly.

sash and brenda should have voted him out a looong time ago

the time they voted out kelly b.

but they dragged it out about another 4 weeks til they finally voted him out

and its not like they didn't have get the chance to.

though i do see the 'minority alliance' being the final 3 in the end

because they have 2 immunity idols

except i think that they might end up blindsiding brenda near the end

because she's a strong player

both strategically and physically

so i'm thinking it will probably be sash and naonka in the end

not sure about the third person

i do hope its brenda,

because i like her and i want her to win (though she did get a bit cocky this ep, but i put it down to editing)

but i have a hunch that it won't be.

naonka is annoying but fun to watch at the same time

as in she just acts like a bitch and i know say if i were on the island

she'd drive me nuts and i'd be so pissed off with her actions

but she makes good tv

and so i'm pretty sure she'll be in the final 3 because she's pissed a lot of people off

and so the other 2 are taking her because she won't win any jury votes

the problem i have with her

is that she justifies her actions by just saying 'that's just the way i am'

which is stupid

because that does not justify stealing food and being outright rude to people.

the other person i like, apart from brenda

is fabio (jud)

he's just so funny

though i think he acts a lot dumber than he is

i mean he knew about freud and the 10% conscious 90% subconcious stuff, he can't be that dumb

but at the same time

he's not super smart

as in he still puts his head in the fire and pees in the pool.

he's just soo funny to watch.

apart from them, the others are ok

i like kelly purple and chase.

holly's really weird, and i like jane but i don't want her to win.

and the others are just ok.

so i aim to watch new shows and plus my other shows are coming back

so top of my list is modern family

then maybe mad men, i shall give it another go. i saw the first ep of the first season, it was ok but wasn't something i wanted to continue to watch.

i need to catch up on big bang theory, and then watch new eps coming soon.

how i met your mother should be out next tuesday. yes!

also my trashy reality tv is also back.

that is, survivor and america's next top model.

also, i want to watch this season's amazing race because kevjumba and his dad is in it, and they're so funny.

i saw the first ep of season 15 of america;s next top model the other day

it was ok.

though it was stupid, they kept talking about how different everything is now.

it isn't really.

they just changed the prizes from the cover of Seventeen magazine to now the cover of Italian Vogue.

and they also changed the modelling agency (but it seems like they have been changing the agency a lot lately anyway).

but its not that different.

actually, its pretty the same.

though, this season i like all the quirky/weird girls.

the other chicks kind of bore me.

i like ann, though i swear i have seen her some place else before

because she seems so familiar.

or just that she reminds me of a lot of people.

i also like rhianna.

and esther.

but i was like 'my goodness'

when i found other that esther had like a size 30G bra cup size.

but she's so skinny.

and they're not fake.

(i think, because she doesn't seem like the type to have fake boobs. and she covers them completely most of the time)

also, i watched the season finale of true blood.

yes, i watched it, hong.

it was good for a while, but i don't think i'll end up watching next season.

i feel like now, they're stuck in a weird loop

the problems just keep piling up and nothing gets properly resolved.

it's actually getting quite annoying and predictable now.

especially with bill and sookie

its like they're mad in love, then bill does something kind of shifty, then sookie wants nothing to do with him, then they get back together and the cycle begins again.

also random comment.

though, it was probably not a wise thing to do, when bill accidentally drained too much of sookie's blood, sookie put it down as a trust issue. as in after, she was like i can't trust you anymore.

but its stupid, because it wasn't a trust issue. it was a survival issue, he was dying before she fed him, so i thought that didn't correlate properly.

also, sookie screams way too much.

and she screams so loud.

also, tara's mum creeps me out everytime i see her.

she always looks like she's possessed. or something.

last thing on true blood, though everything else is getting pretty annoying.

i really like jessica and hoyt. she's so pretty, and they make a cute couple.

so today i finally finished season 3 of The Guild
i love Felicia Day
she's so cute
especially when she said she was saying how she froze when she realised she was the last one standing
and acted like a rabbit
(sounds lame here, but you have to see it to understand)
and she's so pretty.
(i'm pretty sure i've mentioned how i find red heads are really pretty)
yes.
and Vork is also super hilarious
he says the funniest things with a super serious face
HAHA.

also, i watch a webseries called Compulsions
its sort of like Dexter in that the main character is a sadist
and takes enjoyment from harming people
i also love how they juxtapose him interrogating people
with his boring office job
where his friend talks about chicks
and he just photocopies stuff
there's also this accomplice/friend chick
they also compare her hard exterior with when she is with her boyfriend
and and
also, i love the IT chick
she's so pretty as well
as in they zoom into her face real up close
she has pretty lashes
i also really like her
cos she's also really intriguing
she stalks people
as in they zoom in on her face while she watches people
creepy
yet intriguing.

how stupid are the people on survivor?
as if GIVE russell an immunity idol

like the three most stupid (in no real order) would be
tyson, for switching his vote & ultimately leadig him getting voted off
jerry, for switching to russell's side, because he's made the same promises with you to parvati and danielle
and guess who's been loyal to him from the start
so he was never going to take her to the final 3
and something that proves that
the week after she switched sides
guess who's closest ally gets voted off.
hers.
yeah, he's real loyal.
and the third stupid person is JT, cos 1. as if go find the immunity idol then get caught
2. as if give the immunity idol to russell, he is a villain for a reason.
the fourth most stupid would be russell
even though he's running the game right now
he believes any seed of doubt that gets planted in his head.

lol, this was one of the funniest things of the day
whats even funnier about this is that its called 'joy juice'
which sounds odd/wrong. hmm.
i went out to dinner with my high school train buddies
and well, we tried that soft drink.
kinda tastes like mountain dew.
but also, we look like such weirdos
cos all of us were taking photos of it.
cos it was hilarious

glad that the heroes are winning now
as in is now, 5 heroes and 7 villains as opposed to having like 4 vs 8 or something
but i'm so annoyed that rob got voted out

gah, Russell is sooo annoying
and i can't believe Jerri sided with Russell
cos obviously he's lying to her
he's made the same promise with like 3 other people
she seemed so easily persuaded
it was so strange

also, been watching the new season of America's Next Top Model
and like this season
apart from like a few of them
they are ALL annoying
but the most annoying of all are:
Alasia
she's so friggin immature, like she'll be yelling at people for not treating her with respect but she doesn't treat them with respect in the first place, she annoys me so bad. but she keeps getting good photos. grr.
Brenda
v. annoying. she complains about everything. EVERYTHING.
Anslee
also very annoying too, and like especially cos well, all of them you look at them and go ok yeah, she looks like a model or model-esque but with her she looks like a 30 yr old mother or a plain jane/girl next door. and she keeps going on about how she's a mother and everything. and makes excuses for everything.
though i thought angelea would annoy the hell out of me
she's not so bad anymore
i gues because the others are so much worse

i want her to win
she's just has that look, like she's so hot and model-esque
and takes good photos every week

heroes vs. villains #75

currently watching the new season of survivor
quite excited for this season
cos it'll be really interesting
especially with the villains
cos i mean usually you have 1 or 2 'evil' people
that lie and backstab to try and control the game
but now there's 10
all on one team
it'll be interesting who would be the ones that will lose by their own game
and get backstabbed instead of backstabbing

i also love the music they play for the respective teams
like for the heroes team
you have very heroic and upbeat/happy music
but then for the villains
you have very dark and dramatic music
i found that really funny

though i'm totally going for the heroes
actually i really want either colby or amanda to win
or james
and i really want russell to be voted off
he annoys me so bad
like i watched him last season
and this season
yes, want him out.
