i love this.
its so spring.
i do like spring,
i know a lot of people don't though
cos of allergies and things
but i still like summer the best.

i'm start a series of posts
about funny things that happened in the past
just reflecting on stuff
that used to really matter and just hilarious when you looked back at them
public/worldly things
like my first one
Y2K
its absolutely hilarious when you look back on it
lots of people had like panic attacks just cos they though the world was going to end since it was a new millenium
and everyone thought that the Y2K virus was going to affect everyone
because they thought the computers wouldn't be able to handle it and crash back to 1900
and we'd reverse back to ice age or something
lol

i can't remember exactly
but i seriously do remember some people freaking out
most were just like 'meh'
but there was a bit of a frenzy over it

i was 9 at that time
& i remember my mum thought there was going to be any electricity or gas
and she said something about putting water into a black garbage bag and putting it out in the sun to get hot water
but other than that she didn't really mention it much

but there was quit a lot of media frenzy over it
kinda like how this year they talked about bush fires every day during summer (in victoria, anyway)
they talked about Y2K everyday in the days leading up to it
haha
and i do remember people freaking out and stockpiling food and stuff.

and then when the new millenium came
everyone was let down cos nothing happened
the Y2K thing was like the best scam ever.
cos it was GLOBAL.
hilarious
all that happened was that the computers actually went to 2000

silly humans.

ok, back to normal post.
i do sometimes think that my mind is more art than like science/fact
like all the stuff that i really love
are a form of art
(as in music, photography, etc.)
i really do wish that i wasn't born into an asian/pushy family
cos i know that if i weren't
i'd be doing some form of arts
instead of pharm

like i'm seriously considering
if i fail another subject
to just take a year off next year
and just do my failed subjects
and study a course on photography
but then my dilema is that fact that
next year is our first placement year
and i want to go to placement with my friends
cos it will be fun.
maybe.

secondly,
quite glad today.
i seriously thought that i wouldn't get my scholarship anymore
cos i failed a subject
and since the payment had still not come yet
so i just assumed that they weren't paying it to me
but monash sent me an email saying it will be there by the end of the week
yay.

i currently have a mud mask on
and its seriously working
i can feel my facial muscles tightening by the second.
i think its a good thing
but i'm not sure
lol

my take of the top stories of these past few days.

1. kanye west
most people know what happened, if not you'll hear about it soon.
but here's what i think, he's a douche bag and the thing is its not like he hasn't done anything like this before, its the THIRD time he has had a public outburst.
i think he should be banned from the MTV awards ceremonies (like he can still be nominated, but can't attend) at least for a year.
i mean just because he's an uber celeb doesn't mean his actions should be without repercussions. like he can't just act like that and then blame it on alcohol, i mean if you are prone to act like that under the influence, don't drink. that's what the after parties are for.
but yeah, poor taylor. & i really like beyonce now, she was so nice about it.
but here are my fav celeb tweets from last night about what happened:

2. lady gaga dying on stage.
she's strange but i expected nothing more. i know people were like SHOCKED and everything, but i'm just like 'meh, its lady gaga, duh."
though she did look quite creepy hanging there.

3. serena williams threatening a lines person.
she threatened a lines person, because she was foot faulted. apparently she said "i will kill you" (according to the asian lines person, and thats a reason why some people also thinks she's racist) and serena's like "no, i didn't" and apparently some people in the crowd were yelling "yes you did." but i couldn't really hear that properly.
lol
well, i think she was going to lose anyway, its not like it was in the beginning of the game. but yes, definitely don't threaten an authority with murder. it won't go down well. :)

4. megan fox
the crew of transoformers 2 wrote a public letter basically just saying she's a biatch.
"She’s as about ungracious a person as you can ever fathom. She shows little interest in the crew members around her. We work to make her look good in every way, but she's absolutely never appreciative of anyone’s hard work. Never a thank you. All the crewmembers have stopped saying hi to Ms. Princess because she never says hello back."
ouch, burn.
all i can say i that i'm not surprised as well, especially because of the way everyone is treating her, like she some sort of goddess or something.

other stuff:
*susan boyle - the first single off her album is a cover of the Rolling Stones Wild Horses
strange choice but
it actually sounds pretty good.
*mischa barton is STILL blaming her teeth for her admission into a psychiatric ward (interview with the view) yeah really? does pulling out some wisdom teeth really require months of intesive care? seriously.

(side note: who on earth watches the view? and how did it beat ellen degeneres to be best talk show? ALL of them are REALLY boring and lame and old. at least ellen is funny and funky)

i'm currently absolutely intrigued with this model Allison Harvard
the runner up
(but she should have totally won, and most people agree)

she is so adorable
and so artsy & quirky
& i like how she dresses
its kinda how i like to dress
she's like everything i want to be
(at least i have the same name, so thats a start)
but yes
i absolutely love her art/drawings
(i totally added her as a contact on my flickr)
and like the photos of her pre-ANTM
are like the quirky photos i like to try to find on flickr
its that sort of dusty vintage that i like.
and also like cool vintage.

oh and apparently she didn't exactly intend to try out to be on antm
someone contacted her cos they saw her pics online
and so then she went to the casting call
but she's also known as 'creepy chan' online
cos some of her older photos are quite gothic
and shes really likes blood (more specifically she mentions nosebleeds.)
which is another reason why she absolutely intrigues me.

but yes
she's also absolutely adorable and cute
with her heartbreakingly huge doe-eyes

stresssssssssssssss

i don't understand why.
every time things start looking ok for me and becoming a little stress free
something always has to come back up to make me FULLY stressed.
(& make me want to curl up into a ball and cry)

i was having such a good morning today
good in a sense that i was totally on the ball
studying for the test i had today
i was so alert and everything.
and like, i'm finally able to get back into studying and everything.
then late on in the day i realise i have something due the next day
which i couldn't even get signed up for
like, i need to have permissions to access it
and i had problems with that
and i'm not sure if they'll let me do it anymore
and its a HURDLE requirement.

and then
i get a friggin email for some course coordinator thing
saying i have not handed in my 'student at risk' form
(seriously thats what its called)
saying they sent me a letter in july and everything
but i never even got the damn letter
sigh.
at least she gave me an extension though
so i think it will still be ok.
but i am VERY stressed.
especially about the hurdle requirement thing.
i don't want to fail another subject
damnittttttttttt.

actually today has been a bad day
i mean it wasn't that bad.
but bad in the sense that bad things happened.
but yet my mood wasn't that bad.
i was ok-cheery today.

so at work, the computer/til was broken down
so i have to write EVERY sale down
including prescriptions
onto a piece of paper
then manually
using a dodgy calculator
calculate the totals and things
it was very annoying.
plus the fact
i just kept feeling worse and worse during work
i just felt more and more feverish.
i felt quite bad just before
so i went to the fridge and found like a 2 year expired demazin
and took that plus panadol
and luckily it still works.
i feel much better now.
no more blocked nose.
yay.
i feel more alert now, than any other time during today.

oh yeah.
these guys came in today and asked for antihistamines
and being an assistant, i asked who it was for
and they said no one in particular
so i was like "ok..?"
and then they explained that the wanted to keep it on hold
in case people get allergic to their cat.
:)

shall sleep now.

i know i said i was going to post two days ago
but
like, i do have a post on draft
but i just couldn't seem to complete it
1) cos i couldn't be bothered/had no inspiration
2) i didn't no what else to add but it didn't seem right just to post it
so yes.

anyhow,
so you know how there are couple names
like the most common one would be
angelina + brad = brangelina
or like bennifer when (j.lo and ben afflec were together)
i was just thinking
with me and jacky
it just will never work
cos the best you an come up with is
jackson or even aly
but then thats/they are actual names
and the whole point of these couples names
are to join the two people together into one name
but the name is obvious enough for everyone to know its two people.
though i am fine without the couple name
i'm just saying..
